First ascents in other regions of the world

Pinnacle Club members have also made first or first female ascents in The Americas, Greenland, Kyrgyzstan, China, Morocco and Germany.

Dorothy Pilley was making first ascents in North America as early as 1926: Mt Baker and Mt Shuksan in 1926, and the Bugaboos in 1939. She also made two first ascents in China in 1939. 

In Greenland, Denise Evans and team made a first ascent of Mt Atter in 1956 and Chris Watkins and team made a first ascent of Pyramid Peak 3230m in 2000.

In 1987 Louise Shepherd with Rosie Andrews and Pinnacle Club members Gill Price and Mandy Glanvill put up a new route graded 8 in the Frankenjura, Germany which they named Team Menstruation.

In Bolivia, Pamela Holt and a Bath University team made two first ascents in the Cordillera Apolobamba in 1989.

Stella Adams made first ascents with John Adams in Boulder Canyon, Colorado in 2002 and El Potrero, Mexico in 2012.

Adele Long joined joined an Alpine Club expedition to Kyrgyzstan in 2007, where they made four first ascents in the Ak Shirak region: Pik 150th (4836m), Pik Ak Ilbirs (4887m), Pik Plavnik (4720m) and Pik Solidarnost (4815m)..

A number of teams with Pinnacle Club members have put up new routes in the Anti-Atlas mountains of Morocco from 2000. Marion Wintringham, Cathy Woodhead, Mandy Glanvill, Julie Carter and Hazel Lewis have been especially active in this area.
